Hi Barbara!
You’re back! Great to have you here at planDisney again. I know some of these new protocols have been keeping us all on our toes, so I am certain you are not the only person wondering about this. Especially when it comes to
Embarkation Day. Once we get to the port, I am so ready to get the party started!
Having just gone through the pre-cruise screening process last weekend, I’ve got you covered. This was my experience at Port Canaveral before a 3-night sailing on the Disney Dream. The testing and holding areas were outside the main terminal. It was a very straightforward, seamless process. They definitely have the procedure down pat! After we submitted our COVID test, we waited in a tent to receive our results from
Safe Passage. We were told it would take approximately 30-45 minutes. Thankfully, there are restrooms available in this waiting area for Guests to use. Once we got the clear to sail, it was off to the port terminal to wait our turn to board with our boarding group.
While you wait, you can download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app if you don’t already have it on your mobile device. This app is more essential than ever in that it enables Guests to track all the activities and entertainment, check their
rotational dining and menus for each restaurant, communicate with Guest Services, and make any desired reservations.
Aww shucks, thanks for the compliment! We just love what we do so much and always love having Guests come back with more questions. I hope you have nothing but smooth sailing and a fabulous adventure at sea.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
