Welcome back, Susan!
I am so thrilled that we have been able to answer so many of your questions. I hope that our advice and tips have been helpful to you during your planning process. Our goal is to help guests get the most magic out of their Walt Disney World vacations.
As Lori mentioned in a previous answer,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is an amazing hotel. Out of all the resort hotels, it has my favorite theming. The attention to the details of the movies featured is absolutely spectacular. Being that it is a value level resort, it is very budget friendly. If you request a family suite in building 10 in the Lion King section, it is the closest to the bus stop or the parking lot. I think your tween girls would love the Big Blue Pool. It happens to be the largest resort pool on property with a splash area, zero entry pool, and to top it off, you can hear the music underwater! I do not think you would be disappointed at this resort.
As an alternative, my next recommendation would be my favorite moderate resort,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. The serene surroundings of the deep south offer a relaxing atmosphere after a long day with the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. They offer Royal Rooms that are fit for a princess. These select rooms are offered in the Magnolia Bend area of the resort, specifically in buildings 90 and 95. Of those buildings, I would suggest building 90 as it is closest to the East Depot bus stop, but both buildings have parking lots directly behind them.
Please keep in mind that requests cannot be guaranteed, but the cast will do their best to accommodate your wishes.
I wish you and your girls a pixie-dusted, memory-filled vacation.
