Hello again Panel! I've read that PL does a special naming ceremony, etc. with the pirate makeover and was wondering if they do anything similar with the mermaid makeover? Taking DD and DS together, and don't want DD to feel left out. Thx!

    Hi Alyssa,

The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom is a fantastic way to sprinkle a little extra magic into your trip for your kids. The memories made there will surely be memorable ones and something they'll remember for a long time.

The mermaid package does not include the personalized pirate name or pirate oath as is included in the First Mate package. The mermaid package does include nail polish, mermaid necklace and color-changing hair clip, though. There is a deluxe mermaid package for an increase in cost, but still no mermaid name. This upgrade just includes a special t-shirt and tutu as a costume. If you would like your daughter to have basically the same experience that your son does, you could choose the "Empress" package, which includes all of the features of the "First Mate" package with the addition of the vibrant make-up, lip gloss, nail polish and face gem. She'd be transformed into more of a pirate maiden, rather than a mermaid, but she would get all of the same experiences as her brother.

Have a swashbuckling day at Walt Disney World!
