    Nakieah from GA Asked

Hi there (again)! There was only one slot left for a rum tasting on our cruise. I wanted to reserve two spaces. Is it best to go ahead and reserve the one and ask when I get onboard if there is room for one more, or is it not likely that a space will open?

    Ahoy Nakieah!

Welcome back to planDisney! Captain Jack Sparrow’s trusty compass has pointed you in the right direction by bringing you back to our merry band of pirates.

The Beverage Tastings are definitely popular on a Disney cruise! Not surprising that the rum seminar is almost full because these seminars are fun, informative, and entertaining. I am sorry that there is only one slot available for the one you want and you are a party of two. Of course, that made me immediately think of Captain Jack and his signature phrase, “Why is all the rum gone?’ So my suggestion is that you go ahead and register for the current opening and see if the Cast Members at Guest Services can work their magic to add your travel companion once you board the ship.

If you have to “walk the plank” and drop out of the Beverage Tasting because your second Guest cannot be added, be sure to cancel at least 24 hours prior to the tasting. Otherwise, you will be charged the full price. Savvy?

If you aren’t able to participate in this tasting, there are still a wide array of swashbuckling activities that Captain Mickey offers. To keep track of them all, I recommend the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It is ARRRguably the best tool to keep track of all the fun. It’s starting to feel like it’s “Talk Like a Pirate Day” with all the pirate references, isn't it?

Nakieah, raise the Jolly Roger and send us more of your excellent questions as you prepare for an adventure at sea. Wishing you a truly DREAMy voyage with your pirate crew!

    Happy Sailing!
