Hello again moms! I just have one more question: What is the weather like in the first week of September? Is there a lot of rain? What are the temperatures like? Also, how are the crowds? I just want to make sure that I'n prepared for everything. Thanks!

    Hi Dana,

September is a great time to travel to Walt Disney World.  The temperatures are still summer-like, which means hot!  Bring sunscreen and make sure you are hydrated.  The crowds are much lower, however, since most kids have just gone back to school.

September can be rainy.  It is still hurricane season, so bring rain gear.  Ponchos are better than umbrellas.  If you have a stroller, it's a good idea to have a waterproof cover for it.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
