Hi Stacey,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always nice to see a question from a returning guest! It's not fun when plans have to change but I'm so glad to hear you are going to be able to reschedule your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. It's always good to have a little magic to look forward to!
I am in love with the refurbished rooms at
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort! I was able to stay in one of the new rooms last fall with two of my friends. I worried that the change to queen-sized beds would make the rooms feel smaller but the redesign has actually made the rooms feel more spacious. I love the sliding door to give more privacy to the sink area and they have added storage throughout the room.
The refurbishment has also started at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. The hope was to have the rooms completed by late summer but unexpected delays will likely push that date a little farther out. The regular guest rooms will be similar to the rooms at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. The refurbished Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort will switch from having a pull-out sofa bed and two pull-out chairs to having two pull-down queen-sized beds. They also have a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed. I have slept on both the pull-out sofa bed and one of the new pull-down beds and the pull-down beds are so much more comfortable.
If you want to be sure to have a refurbished room this fall at one of the All-Star Resorts, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is complete and Disney's All-Star Music Resort should be close if not fully completed. The refurbished rooms at
Disney's Pop Century Resort are similar in design and another option if you choose.
Stacey, thank you for allowing us to help you with your planning questions! Please let us know if you have any other questions before your visit!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
