Hi again. MP is so helpful! On our visit which is less then 3 wks away... Will we be getting Magicbands and if so, will we get to pick the color band we each want when we check in or do I need to request this prior to our visit? We are staying at Pop.

Isn't the new MagicBand technology exciting? .

The latest information we have from Disney is that the program is still in the testing phase and will be in widespread use sometime this year. As of now, there hasn't been a schedule announced for when it will be available at specific resorts.

I'm planning a visit to Pop Century next month myself. Like you, I'm eager to give the wristbands a try.

I'm sorry I can't be more specific. New developments on the all of the programs coming to Walt Disney World this year are usually announced first on the Disney Parks Blog. You might want to keep an eye on that for details. And, of course, my fellow Moms Panelists and I will pass along new information as soon as we have it.

Here's hoping you get to be one of the first to use the MagicBands. Enjoy your visit!
