Hi again Mandy, my DVC-Mary-Poppins! If we purchase DVC for the first time at the Villas at the Grand Floridian, will we be limited to staying in the new Resort Studios? I've stayed in the Deluxe Studios and love the layout and location. Thank you!

Hey there, Amy! Welcome back to planDisney, my friend! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with another great Disney Vacation Club question. It's always a jolly holiday with you here, and I am more than happy to step in time with you on your journey to becoming a DVC Member!

I cannot tell you how excited I am for you that you are on the brink of becoming a Disney Vacation Club Member. Being a Member, knowing that my family's next magical adventure is always on the horizon, and always having a running countdown to my next Disney vacation truly brings joy to my everyday life. Membership ensures that vacationing remains a priority for my family, and it's an investment in making magical memories together. I am so happy for you to experience this magic soon, and with a Home Resort of The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa?! You are definitely on the brink of adventure, and you certainly can't spoil it with too many questions. So, spit spot! Let's get to it!

I think you will be happy to hear that if you become a new DVC Member with The Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa as your Home Resort, not only will you have Home Resort advantage to book the new Resort Studios, but also the Deluxe Studios, One-Bedroom Villas, Two-Bedroom Villas, and even the Three-Bedroom Grand Villas (And wow, are these grand!). That means that you will be able to book any available Villas at the Grand Floridian 11 months before your vacation. Isn't that practically perfect in every way?!

Since my family is just a little family of three, we usually stay in the Deluxe Studios, and the rooms and kitchenettes are just our size. But when you are deciding how many Vacation Points to purchase, I must recommend factoring in occasionally staying in the One or Two-Bedroom Villas. Having the extra space, privacy and the full kitchen is the perfect excuse to splurge on a One-Bedroom Villa stay now and again, even for a smaller family, and bringing friends and family with us in a Two-Bedroom Villa has become one of my favorite things about being a DVC Member. I never imagined that I'd be able to treat family and friends to a trip to Walt Disney World Resort or Hawaii, but with DVC, everything is possible, even the impossible.

Amy, I hope this was helpful, and I hope to see you again here soon with more DVC questions! When I first became a Member, I had a ton of questions, so, just ask! I can't wait to wish you a lifetime of magical memories with your magical Membership!

Head up and feet beneath you,

    Mandy
