Hi again! I know the dining plan does not cover tips. Do I have to carry cash or can I use my magic band and charge it? We are hoping to have 7 table service meals! Thank you,for all your great advice!!!

    Hi Sara,

My family are big fans of the Disney Dining Plan and have used it many times over the years. You are quite correct in saying that the Disney Dining Plan does not include gratuities but do not worry as you will not be required to carry cash around in order to pay for them.

The introduction of MagicBands really did make everything so simple when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. So long as you place a credit card against your reservation when you check-in at your Disney Resort hotel, you can simply charge your gratuities (and any other purchases which you make in the Disney Parks and Disney Springs) to your room via your MagicBand. You will simply touch your MagicBand against a sensor called a touch point and enter a PIN code to uniquely identify yourself. (You self-select your PIN upon check-in at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.)

Payment for all charges made using your MagicBand will be taken from your credit card the night before you check-out from your Disney Resort hotel. You can however stop by the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel at anytime during your stay to check how much you have spent to date.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
