Hello again Kirsten. I'm being indecisive & need your input. We land Fri 10/4 at 11:30am & depart Tues 10/8 5pm, staying POFQ with only 4D MYW. Would you park it on day of arrival or departure & why? What's your experience getting into r

    Hi there Lisa!

    Thanks for visiting me!
I'm happy to provide you with my input on what I'd do if I was you on the same schedule!

I'm an absolute sucker for getting straight into the magic of the parks on arrival day. Given that you're schedule to land around lunch time, I'd definitely say to go for the parks! You'll likely be at POFQ by 1pm and easily able to be at one of the theme parks by 2:00/2:30pm after checking in. Based on current park hours, I'd go for Epcot since it's open until 10pm that day. Make yourself a nice dinner reservation for some 'around the world dining' and just enjoy the park and IllumiNations for the evening.

Departure day for me is always more of an 'enjoy the pool and have a nice, leisurely lunch' day. Consider Downtown Disney for lunch prior to pool time and you'll then be close by in time for your Disney's Magical (well ok, not-so-magical on departure day) Express to MCO. If you're looking to try a great lunch spot, consider Paradiso 37 - Taste of the Americas. It's my favourite, casual spot at Downtown Disney these days!

I hope this helps you out Lisa. Feel free to write me back any time. I always enjoy receiving your questions!

Wishing you a Magical time as you anticipate your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!
