Hi again Kirsten. We're going to spend our 1st day at MK . As the children may still be jet lagged, we want to be flexible so I've not made ADR for lunch. But as its our sons 1st bday could u recommend a restaurant in MK (not BOG) for a special lunch.

    Hello Kirstie!

Spending your first day at Magic Kingdom is a great plan. There's just something extra-Magical about having your little ones see Cinderella Castle for the first time - as well as such classics as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Prince Charming Regal Carousel.

Having some flexibility to your schedule, especially on your first day, is always a great idea.
For a fun lunch without an Advance Dining Reservation, I'd recommend Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café. It's located on the edge of Tomorrowland, not too far from Fantasyland's Mad Tea Party. What makes this casual dining location special and fun for the little ones is the 'live' musical entertainment, courtesy of Sonny Eclipse - an audio-animatronic character. My little guy was fascinated by Sonny when he visited at just 8 months old. It's a cool, indoor lunch location with a great menu sure to please everyone in your family.

If you decide that you would rather make a lunch reservation in advance, my top pick for your little ones' first day would be The Crystal Palace for lunch with Winnie the Pooh & Friends.

I hope to hear from you again soon Kirstie!
Wishing you a simply Magical, First Day of your trip at Magic Kingdom!
