hi Again Kay. In the WS part of EPCOT, is it resturants and stores? is it fun kids ages 9-10? should i just plan an hour or so just to "waltk thru" the area to see the "countries" , or is there more fun things for kids to do/see i

Hi Lisa! For the most part the World Showcase can be considered great dining and fun shopping. But they also have some attractions and movies in various countries as well as characters and street entertainment. Your kids might be too old to enjoy the KidCot activities at each country pavilion. These are generally simple arts and crafts type things for them to make so you can stop by one and see if that interests your children.

China and Canada both have wonderful movies depicting their specific country but just know you must stand for these so do it when you are fresh!  Mexico and Norway have rides that your kids would enjoy so take time for these. I also encourage families to see the American Adventure show which is long but well done and worth the educational impact for our children. There is a nice vocal pre-show done by the Voices of Liberty that is worth being at if you get there a few minutes before the show.

Japan has drummers who are fun to watch throughout the day and in the evening or at least later in the afternoon you can stop to hear the Moroccan band and belly dancer and the Off Kilter band in the United Kingdom.

Our favorite movie in Epcot is the one shown in the France pavilion and it is a sit down theater. The scenery is breathtaking and the music is beautiful. Again there will be street entertainment along the way and a large train set up outside Germany so I would give yourself a bit more then an hour to tour this part of the park. Enjoy!
