Hi again Joel. We have always stayed in villas, but may need to do a more budget friendly trip next time. Which resorts will definitely reserve connecting rooms? All I have ever read says "not guaranteed", but I would have to KNOW for sure. Thank

    Hi Darrell,
Joel is taking a break from answering questions at WDW Moms Panel.  I'm sure he'll be back soon; however, hopefully I can answer your question.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will get connecting rooms.  Having said that, every time I've asked for a connecting room, my request has been granted.  You'll have the best luck getting an adjoining room if you're planning your vacation at an off-peak time. Mid-October is one of my favorite times to go, but I know it's not always convenient if you are trying to plan around school vacations.
I'm not sure how large your family is.  If you have 6, you might want to try to reserve a 6 person suite at Disney's All Star Music Resort.  The cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground also sleep 6.
If you need to fit more and are looking for the most economical option. You'll want to request connecting rooms at a value resort like Pop Century.  I find that when I have a special request like this, I find it easier to call (407)934-7639, rather than booking online.
    Hope this helps.
    Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
