Hi again Jo. Do you know anywhere we can buy ponchos or lanyards/ticket holders in UK, cheaper than at Disney? Can we buy Disney dollars/gift cards in the UK Disney store? Also, what shoes do your family tend to wear round the parks? Thanks 4 all ur help.

Thanks so much for asking more questions Immy, I hope all your planning is going well!
I've seen ponchos for sale in several shops in England but it is a bit pot luck. Last year I bought a couple of Donnay ones for 99p each at a discount sports shop called Sport Soccer, I've also seen them in Poundland and on eBay, be careful not to get the really thin ones that tear easily though. The Disney ones cost approximately $8/£5 but are quite thick and they will replace them free if they tear/split during your trip.
The Disney Store UK has just started stocking pins and they sell a lanyard or you can buy them on eBay, but to be honest Disney has a huge range in all of their stores including resort shops so it may be best to wait. A few years ago I looked at the office type lanyards but the pouch that came with them wasn't big enough for the Disney park tickets. I personally don't like wearing lanyards as they rub my neck and I bought a special Fast Pass holder in WDW for about $7 which clips to my belt/shorts. It holds all of my families park passes, fast passes etc and is on an extendable cord which makes it so easy to use! I'm afraid the you can't buy Disney Dollars or gift cards from the UK Disney Store, I just called one and they said that because of the fluctuating exchange rate they don't sell them. You can buy them at WDW though.
Shoes for the parks, well we all wear different things, I like walking type sandals, mine are Timberland but many companies make them. I just find them comfy and as we travel in August my feet don't get too hot and they dry quickly on water rides or when it rains. My youngest daughter prefers her Crocs yet my eldest always wears trainers. My husband changes between walking sandals and trainers. You really need to wear what is most comfortable for you, make sure to not wear brand new shoes and bring some good blister plasters such as Compeed.
Phew, hope my answers help and as always please feel free to ask again.
