Hi again Moms! You are being so helpful with this first trip to WDW! We are traveling in a group of 12, four different families, in July 2014, should we make our ADR's for a large table of 12 or should we break up the group in smaller tables of 6 each?

    Hi Janice,

Taking a Disney vacation with a large group is so much fun! You'll get some great photos and create wonderful memories together.

If your plan is to dine altogether, you'll definitely want to make your reservation for 12. Yes, you will be told that you may not be seated at the same table. It's true. However, most often you'll be seated at tables that are either pushed together or extremely close to one another. If you make two reservations for 6 each you run the risk of being seated at opposite sides of the restaurant. It's possible, too, that you might not get the exact same seating times.

With a large party it is especially important to book your dining reservations 180 days in advance of your arrival date.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
