Hello Again! My family (2 adults, 2 kids) are planning for November. We are looking for rooms without carpet. I’ve looked at pictures but not sure how current they are. We stayed at AKL and loved it but it doesn’t have availability. Appreciate the help.

Hi there, Suzann! Welcome back to planDisney! It’s my pleasure to try to help today.

It sounds like your family prefers a Disney Resort Hotel room without carpeting, and I completely understand! I was able to do some research on the topic and found a few options that may work for you. From the Deluxe Resort hotels, I am told that Disney's Yacht Club Resort does not have carpeting in their rooms. You cannot beat the location and the walkability to Epcot from this Resort! Plus it is an easy stroll or watercraft ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

In the Moderate Resort category, some safe bets are the rustic Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort & Gran Destino Tower. I have personally stayed in the newly built Grand Destino Tower and it is spectacular!

At the Value Resort Hotel level, I know that Disney’s Pop Century Resort has done away with carpeting following their amazing recent renovations!

Suzann, I hope that you can find availability at one of these wonderful resort hotels! No matter your tastes and budget, there is a Disney Resort Hotel for everyone, and nothing else quite places you and your family at the center of the magic throughout your entire vacation! Please do let me know how it all works out for you, and do not hesitate to come back to see us again if we may help in the future with any other aspect of your plans!

    See ya real soon!
