Hi again! Everyone keeps talking about disney dollars. What are they? If they are just a piece of paper that represnts a dollar why wouldn't you just use a dollar. I don't understand the point of them. Please explain. Thanks,

    Hi Debra,

The Disney Dollar is the official currency of Walt Disney World Resort. Disney Dollars are available for purchase in 3 denominations—$1, $5 and $10—each with its own Disney Character portrait.

There is no need to use them as opposed to regular US Dollars although I guess that some people just find them fun to use and they are great gifts for children heading for a visit to Walt Disney World.

Disney Dollars are accepted at the following Walt Disney World Resort locations:-
    Ticketing
    Food & Beverage venues
    Merchandise locations
    Recreation areas
    Resort/hotel concierge desks
    Resort/hotel front desks
Guest Relations at theme parks and water parks

Disney Dollars can be purchased or exchanged for their equal value in U.S. currency at the following Walt Disney World Resort locations only:-
Guest Relations at theme parks and water parks
    Resort/hotel front desks
    Resort/hotel concierge areas
Please note: Disney Dollars purchased with a credit card are limited to $50.00 per day.

To order Disney Dollars prior to your arrival at Walt Disney World, you can choose from two payment options:- credit card or cashier's check/money order.

To pay by credit card, call (407) 566-4985, option 5.
Please note: Disney Dollars purchased with a credit card are limited to $50 per day, and a $15 shipping charge applies.

To pay by cashier's check or money order, mail your payment and order information to: P.O. Box 10140, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830.
Please note that there is a maximum order total of $650, and a $15 shipping charge applies. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
