Hello again, Derek! I am also the parent of a 4 year old foodie. She will be bored with the standard chicken nuggets. We'll be on the dining plan. Can you please suggest some quick service locations that have more adventurous options for kid's meals?

    Hi Sarah,

It was so nice to hear from you! (Especially since we're going to talk about food again!!)

Instead of going nuts with a mile-long list, I'll contain my excitement and share one of my favorite spots from each theme park:

Magic Kingdom: Be Our Guest Restaurant (Lunch)

Not only is this a spectacular restaurant in terms of design and theming, but the food is absolutely amazing. My daughter said their potato leek soup was the best she's ever had. (That's a huge endorsement!)

    Epcot: Katsura Grill

Oh sweet irony. The Japan pavilion is the most tranquil setting in Walt Disney World, but the sushi, udon noodle soups, and teriyaki dishes in this restaurant are an absolute disturbance of the peace. Your taste buds will be saying, "Domo Arigato!"

    Disney's Hollywood Studios: Fairfax Fare

After having their hot dog topped with macaroni and cheese, truffle oil, and bacon bits, I get depressed anytime I see a "normal" hot dog.

Disney's Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue

My wife is looking forward to taking our son to the Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom for his first haircut. As for me, I'm looking forward to taking him to Flame Tree Barbecue for his first rack of ribs. #Priorities

Here's a bonus tip from your buddy Derek:

Not only am I a Disney foodie, but I'm a Disney shopaholic as well.

(Don't tell my friends! They think my time outside of the theme parks is spent driving race cars around the Walt Disney World Speedway.)

The Holiday Turkey sandwich from Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney pairs perfectly with a round of shopping (any time of year!).

Hungry yet? I hope that helps and I hope to hear back from you if you'd like more ideas to chew on.

    (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

    Talk to you soon!
