Hi again, my DD is doing the Grand Adventures of cooking. While she is there what can I do at the Resort? Not a spa person....is there a place to get a quick bite or places to shop? Its just the 2 of us, something I would be okay with doing alone. Thanks!

    Hi Jessica,

The Grand Floridian has several shops that are fun to wander through as well as restaurants. The Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favorites (a must-do when we visit), but there is also a small counter service restaurant where you can take your food out by the marina and enjoy the views.

The Grand Floridian has beautifully landscaped grounds that are wonderful to explore, but I think my favorite is the lobby with all its grandeur and activity.  Often, there are weddings photos being taken, so it is fun to see all the excitement surrounding the bride and groom.

Make sure and have your camera handy as your daughter comes into the lobby with her chef hat and apron with her homemade treats to share with guests.  It is absolutely adorable to watch the little chefs in action!
