Hi again! We're going 2 days at each park and I'm trying to plan it out so that we can come late to stay late, once at each park. What time does it typically get busy? Thanks for all of the help!

    Hello again, Charlene!

I’m so glad to hEAR from you again! “It's always a great time to visit Disney theme parks!” For that matter, any time of day is a great time as well! I always feel like right at park opening is the ideal time to start your day at the Disneyland Resort. That’s when attraction wait times are shortest and the full set of Disney FASTPASS times are available to choose from. But, whether it’s first thing in the morning a while later, visiting Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park is a wonderful way to step into the magic.

I generally notice that attendance in both Disneyland Resort theme parks gradually ramps up in the morning until leveling off around 1 PM to 2 PM in the afternoon. The number of guests stays about the same until around 7 PM to 8 PM, as additional guests come in to enjoy an evening meal and look forward to watching a nighttime spectacular. The number of guests drops dramatically after the big evening entertainment concludes. That’s when it returns nearly to levels similar to park opening time. Note that dates around holidays may see slight variations of these patterns.

I hope you enjoy those late evening hours at the Disneyland Resort. I recommend taking in the beautiful lights of Pixar Pier, reflected across the still waters of Paradise Bay. Speaking of lights, be sure to catch the amazing neon proudly displayed by the residents of Radiator Springs in Cars Land. In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Former Star Tours pilot DJ R-3X spins some out-of-this-world tunes in Oga’s Cantina. And I often enjoy the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of Critter Country after dark.

I hope you have a Fantasmic! time, Charlene!
