Hi again Moms (and Dad's)! I'll be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. What is the best way to get from there, to the O'hana restaurant, then to the parks? Do you prefer breakfast or dinner? Thank you as always for the great advice!

    Hi Angela,

    Welcome back!

From Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resortto travel to ‘Ohana, take the bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then either take the monorail or boat from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.  After your meal, to get to Magic Kingdom Park, simply take the Monorail from the second level of the resort. For Epcot, follow the signs and walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center and get on the direct Monorail.  In order to get to Disney’s Animal Kingdom or Disney’s Hollywood Studios head to the first floor and follow the signs for bus transportation.

‘Ohana is always on my family’s must do list when we visit Walt Disney World Resort.  Personally I prefer breakfast, but I am a very picky eater.  Here are some things to consider when deciding to book breakfast or dinner at ‘Ohana.  Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch is an American style meal.  There are Stitch waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, home fries and biscuits.  Also, characters are available for meet and greets throughout your dining reservations.  For dinner, the menu is Polynesian inspired with oak-grilled chicken, shrimp and steak, as well as stir-fried vegetables, chicken wings, lo-mein noodles, salad and bread.  Entertainment includes coconut races for the children, hula lessons and a fabulous musician. I would choose whichever option suits the needs of your family.  If you are looking for a fantastic character experience and a hearty meal to start your day, breakfast would be your best option.  However, if you are looking to enjoy a unique dinner with a fantastic view and entertainment, I would suggest making your reservation for dinner.  Either way, you really can’t go wrong, both options are amazing!
