Hi again Will be coming in a month for my Daughters 4th birthday Still trying to get a character dining for breakfast on her actual birthday! Is there any news on when the other characters restaurants will offer their dining experience?

Hey Howdy Hey Constantina and welcome back to planDisney!

I absolutely love that you will be celebrating your daughter's birthday with us in the Most Magical Place on Earth! What a fantastic way to celebrate! One such celebration would be that much more Magical while celebrating with characters. These dining options can be tough to get, but I do have some options that may work out for your daughter's big day.

While many experiences across Walt Disney World Resort have returned or are scheduled to return soon, we still do have extra magical experiences currently on hold. At this time, the full return of all character meals and dining locations has not been shared and we continue to wait for word on when these experiences will be back.

We all were pleasantly surprised with the news of hugs and autographs returning to experiences with characters and even the return of character greetings at tables at many character dining locations last month. While this process is being gradually reintroduced across the parks and resorts, we can only hope that the return of other dining experiences is on the horizon.  I would be sure to check back on Disney Parks Blog to see if any announcements are made on opening expectations.

In the meantime, I would make sure to keep checking you're My Disney Experience app for reservations at locations such as Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom or Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. You never know when a reservation may open up so make sure to check multiple times per day.

Another thing you may want to plan for is the option of joining the walk-up lists for some of these locations. While you are onsite and close to one of these locations, you can join the walk-up list from your My Disney Experience app which is almost like joining the virtual waiting list. You should be given an approximate wait time and is a great way to still have the option to experience these special dining locations without a reservation. One way to ensure your spot in line is either to get there early or to try to plan your meals during off times, so say eating breakfast at11:00 a.m. This will give you the greatest chance for getting those prized experiences with character dining.

Since you will be celebrating your daughter's big day, no birthday is complete without a cake right? You are in luck! Disney has made Celebration Cakes available at many locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Some locations can take these orders when you make your reservation but most will do it either 4 days before your reservation in person or on the day of your reservation. If you meet with the Cast Member at the host podium on the day of your reservation, you can make this special request to be delivered at the end of your meal.

I wish for a Supercalifragilistic Expialidocious birthday celebration for your daughter and a trip full of Magical Memories. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
