    Me again. I chose OKW for free upgrade & got it:) However, I noticed that two of you chose SS when given the choice. Did I make the wrong decision? 1st time staying on Disney.Was staying at ASM. Me (30) & my mother. Excited, but nervous.

    Congratulations on your upgrade!  We are Disney Vacation Club members and absolutely love Old Key West Resort.  In fact, our last family vacation was to this property.  The pool and grounds are lovely, and make me feel like I'm vacationing in the Caribbean each time we stay.  It's a wonderful retreat to come back to after a long day in the parks.  Olivia's, the table service restaurant has THE best Key Lime Pie in all of Disney (in my humble opinion of course!)  There's a very convenient shuttle boat to Downtown Disney, which makes getting there a snap and a great option for some nighttime fun and dining.  When we stay at Old Key West, we usually request a room near the main guest house, so that it's easy to walk to the gift shop and main pool, however, some guests prefer the serenity of being further away from the entrance to the resort.

    I'm so glad you have an opportunity to experience one of our favorite properties.  I think you made a great choice!
