Hello again! Which boozy milkshake is the best at Disney World? I've heard fabulous things about the S'mores Shake at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop and the Orbiting Oreos at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. Thank you very much!

    Hi there, K!

Thanks for shaking it up at planDisney with such a delicious question. One of my favorite things about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is how the magic can't only be seen, heard, and hugged, you can taste it as well! In fact, Disney dining is one of the things that keeps my family returning to The Most Magical Place on Earth year after year.

The Orbiting Oreos is my go-to dessert at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, so the opportunity to look into similar offerings was such a treat! I have recently gravitated to the mid-century kitsch of 50's Prime Time Café where Guests have the option to liven up their traditional milkshakes (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and my personal favorite, peanut butter & jelly) with assorted spirits. Just across Echo Lake, Dockside Diner serves vanilla and chocolate milkshakes with Baileys and Kahlúa.

Outside of Disney's Hollywood Studios, you'll find a plethora of options (including alcoholic milkshakes and hard floats) at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop as well as a Frozcato and Frozen Old Fashioned served with DOLE Whip at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. Speaking of DOLE Whip, while it's no milkshake, the soft-serve can be enjoyed with coconut rum at both Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Pineapple Lanai at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Additionally, be sure to keep an eye out for signage advertising seasonal offerings you won't typically find listed on official menus in the My Disney Experience mobile app. I once enjoyed an adult shake topped with gummy bears at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, and the Guinness Baileys Coffee Shake has been a staple of my husband's in recent years at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

If you're looking to bring a bit of the magic into your own home, my husband and I purchased Chef Mickey: Treasures from the Vault and Delicious New Favorites on one of our vacations and have loved using the recipes to recreate some of our favorite meals and beverages from the Theme Parks in our kitchen. Barring the addition of a Little Chef, the dishes couldn't feel more deliciously authentic!

I hope this was helpful and that your magical vacation is filled with (more than a spoonful of) sweet treats! If you need any additional assistance feel free to drop back by. I'm happy to help!

    Hakuna Matata,
    Lizzie
