Hello again! We are booked in an ocean view deluxe studio. I’ve seen differing post about the coffee makers in these rooms. Is it the K Cup type, or a standard pot? Thank you for the info!

Hey there, Robert--we meet again! I'm so glad to get another opportunity to help with planning for your Hawaiian vacation at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. You'll be traveling to where the sky meets the sea before long, and as someone who likes to do a lot of advance vacation planning, I absolutely appreciate this question!

When traveling with my husband, I always look into the coffee situation. It certainly gets everyone's day off to a good start!  The Disney Vacation Club resorts typically have a mix of standard drip coffeemakers and models that operate with a single-serve pod.  I checked with some Cast Members at Aulani and also watched a couple of recent tours of Deluxe Studios posted online and learned that currently, the studios do have a drip coffeemaker. You'll be set up with a starter pack of coffee and accessories and can request more during your stay. If you have your heart set on a pod-style machine, you can always inquire at the Front Desk if any are available. While this request can't be guaranteed, the Cast Members will do their best to make some magic for you!

If you're looking for coffee around the resort, Off The Hook is a covered lounge near the pool area that offers specialty coffees and espresso drinks each morning and some really tasty breakfast options. I highly recommend the Sweet Bread French Toast!

Robert, I'm delighted you stopped by again, as I thought of another experience I wanted to suggest for you during your stay at Aulani! There is an excellent guided tour offered on select days that highlights the Hawaiian art and architecture that are the heart of the resort. We really enjoyed learning more about how Aulani came to be, and the collaboration between the local community and Walt Disney Imagineering that brought the resort to life while keeping Hawaiian traditions and culture at the forefront. Check your Daily 'Iwa to learn when tours are offered.

I hope these extra details help with your planning! Don't hesitate to come see us again if any other questions arise before you head off to "where the sky meets the sea". Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney!
