Hi again Moms! If I book our trip for Feb 09 on the phone now, will I be able to take advantage of promotional rates if they come out for our dates? Also, If I book now, do we pay the rates based on 08 or do they adjust when 09 rates are published?

From my experience, you can book a room only reservation now for early 2009. The one night’s deposit will be the 2008 rack rate plus tax. When the 2009 rates are released in late Summer, your reservation will reflect the new rate. In the Fall, you’ll receive a confirmation with the adjusted rate which will show the new total that you owe at Check In. I do not remember having to pay the difference of the old versus new rate for our deposit once the rates were updated. You will just settle your bill at Check In!

When promotional rates come out, you can call and have that rate applied to your room only reservation. For instance, I have often called to have a AAA rate applied to my January reservations.

If you decide to take advantage of a package, you will cancel your room only reservation (they will give you a cancellation number for your records) and then you will book the package of your choice.
