Hi Danielle!
I'm always so excited to hEAR from you while you plan for your upcoming voyage aboard
Disney Cruise Line! Each question of yours has me amazed at how organized and on the ball you are. I remember when I was planning for my first Disney Cruise I wasn't half as prepared as you! Haha!
Pre-paying your gratuities prior to setting sail gives you one less thing to worry about on the final day of your cruise. Typically, a member of your Concierge Team will be with you on the island as your Cabana Host, too! Because of this, I include the above and beyond customer service received on
Castaway Cay when calculating the gratuities for the Concierge Team. I feel as though the Concierge Team member works so hard on Castaway Cay, in the hot Bahamian sun, making sure we have everything we need throughout the day in our cabana and on the beach. The recommended gratuity for Concierge is "at your discretion." With that being said, I suggest budgeting anywhere from $2 to $4 per person in your stateroom, per night of your cruise, for the Concierge Team's gratuities.
My family and I just disembarked a four-night adventure aboard the Disney Wonder, sailing in a Concierge-level stateroom. We had such a WONDERful time; it was tough to leave the beautiful ship on the final morning! We had a private cabana on Castaway Cay and while we were there, I actually thought about how you have your own piece of property in paradise reserved during your upcoming visit, too! I can't wait for you to experience being treated like a VIP throughout your entire voyage!
