Hello there again :) another Q: What is the best way to cool down with little ones and have some relaxation and re-coup time while staying inside the parks? Thanks!

    Tammy:

While every park offers a Comfort Station (denoted by a pacifier on the park map) that includes a quiet nursing room and A/C, I have to say my favorite places in the park to relax and "recoup" are the shows!  My top picks for cat-napping for the youngsters and an occasional nod for me:

    • Magic Kingdom: My #1 place was the Tomorrowland Transit Authority until it closed for a refurb.  Runners up include: Carousel of Progress: It's a Great Big Beautiful...nap in the A/C and dim-lighting!; Tom Sawyer's Island: any bench with a lemonade from Aunt Polly's; Town Square Exposition Hall, where you'll find dads sitting in the theatre napping while their charges watch the cartoons!  And not to be un-patriotic, but The Hall of Presidents.
    • Disney Studios: Muppets in 3D: The 3D glasses hide closed eyes, but won't disguise a nodding head....Little Mermaid: I think it's the comfortable seating that draws me in....the vast tables under the canopy of Studio Catering Co. provide a respite, especially with the Honey, I Shrunk the Audience Playground right next door.
    • Animal Kingdom: Nemo: only drawback is the stadium seating, but it doesn't stop me!...The tables under the tree canopy behind Flame Tree BBQ or, even better, the tables in one of the back rooms of Pizzafari: can you say air-conditioned?
    • Epcot: The garden seats in the back pavilion of England....France's 18-minute-long movie....one of the two benches just inside the foyer of the America pavilion or you can commit to the movie inside...the lake-side tables by Mexico's Cantina....And for nursing: Spaceship Earth, just make sure you're covered at the beginning.  They take your picture!
    Wishing y'all a magical—and restful—vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
