Hi there, Danielle!
While I am definitely sorry to hear of your back issues, I am pleased that you are recovering enough to spend some time at the
Walt Disney World Resort!
There are different kinds of Guest Assistance Cards available at Walt Disney World, and you'll need to visit Guest Relations at any Park to obtain the one that is determined to be right for you.
In order to receive the Card, you will need to be forthcoming about your condition and your needs to the Guest Relations Cast Member, who will then offer you the Card that is most appropriate for your situation. Please understand that not everyone who requests a Card will receive identical assistance, and that the Card is not guaranteed to speed up your entry into any ride or attraction.
Bear in mind, of course, that the Cast Member is not a medical professional, but someone trained in judging a medical situation with accuracy and providing resources to make Guests as comfortable as possible.
Because your issue is not immediately obvious - no wheelchair, brace, etc. - you should consider bringing medical documentation with you. A note from a physician will undoubtedly ensure that you are provided with the right provisions for the duration of your stay. Make sure the note is on letterhead and is signed by the physician.
Disney has some great information on
how it serves its Guests with disabilities; you can also feel free to call them at (407) 824-4321 with any further questions or concerns.
Have a wonderful - and comfortable! - time!
See you later, celebrator,
-Deborah B.
