Hi, Brittany! It's a pleasure to see you again here at planDisney!
I'm so glad you stopped by to see us with a follow-up to your previous question. We're always happy to make sure you have all the info you need to plan a truly magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.
So, let's talk tickets!
Getting everything linked to your
My Disney Experience account and making
Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are really important steps in your planning process. But even though you can see your tickets in your account, you still need some kind of ticket media - whether it's a
MagicBand or Admission Card, or an Annual Pass card - to tap in at each park entrance. You'll also need to scan physical tickets for things like
Disney PhotoPass photos and the
Lightning Lane entrances when you use these services.
But there is an option that turns your phone into a physical ticket if you'd like to give it a try! It's called
Disney MagicMobile service, and you'll find it right in your
My Disney Experience mobile app. On the home screen of the app, click on the three little horizontal lines in the bottom right corner, then on the "Disney MagicMobile" tile on the next page (you may need to sign in again). From there, follow the instructions to create digital passes for your family and save them to the electronic wallet on your phone. When you arrive at the parks, you can hold your phone up to the tapstile, and you're in!
If you've saved multiple family members' passes to one device, you'll just open up your e-wallet to swipe and scan each one individually. But the result is the same - you can get the fun started that much quicker!
Brittany, it took me several tries to get Disney MagicMobile to work on my phone because I had to figure out how to adjust some of my settings. If you have any trouble linking it all up, you can always go back to your original plan and use Admission Cards. It's just helpful to know that you have some options.
It's almost time for the magic to begin, Brittany! Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope your family has a jolly holiday vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
