Howdy Mhairi!
Welcome Home and thanks for moseying on over to planDisney with your great question. I am so excited you are thinking of enjoying a memorable vacation at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. It is absolutely one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World Resort, as my first vacation at the age of three was camping at Fort Wilderness. Like Chip 'n' Dale, it will always store a place in my heart.
Mhairi, booking RV space at Fort Wilderness is easy to do. Simply log in to your
My Disney Experience account and be sure you are on the "My Plans" page. Next, select "Add More Plans" and click "Resort Hotel Reservations." You'll want to put your vacation dates at the top and then scroll down until you find Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, then "Check Availability." Now, Mhairi, once you are in this section, you can check availability for many different options based on location and the types of hookups you need. The descriptions let you know what size RV the space can accommodate and the number of people it can accommodate.
Note that when you check availability, it will also give you a choice if you want the pricing for the "Room Only", which in this case is your campsite, or "Package", which is the campsite rate and theme park tickets. Unfortunately, there aren't any Disney Vacation Club discounts for reserving your RV site at this time. You can use your Disney Vacation Club Points to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds, but the availability is extremely limited and fills up quickly. But to check availability, you can contact
Member Services. However, if eligible, your DVC Member discounts will apply for shopping and dining at select locations at Fort Wilderness. You can also enjoy discounts on current offers for any Enchanting Extras you might enjoy such as a trail ride at
Tri-Circle D Ranch. Be sure and check the
Member Benefits page for current offers.
In case you need any bare necessities while staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you can stop by the Meadow Trading Post or the Settlement Trading Post. If you are looking for hearty home-style meals during your stay, there are also several great dining options, especially Trails End Restaurant which is my favorite. I also recommend making s'mores and enjoying Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long.
I hope you have a wonderful adventure during your Disney vacation. If you have more questions,
stop back here and I'll be glad to help you out, because you've got a friend in me!
Happy trails,
Keri
