    Afternoon, This is my first trip to WDW, how do I join this club?

    Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm sure you're excited to experience the magic of your first trip to Walt Disney World. Thanks, too, for asking about Disney Vacation Club.

    Joining Disney Vacation Club is simply joining a vacation ownership program. You purchase an “ownership interest” in a Home Resort condominium that gives you Home Resort Vacation Points. You use your points to stay at any of the 14 Disney Vacation Club Resorts or even vacation outside of Disney. You have control and flexibility in how best you use your points for your vacation needs. In addition, you enjoy Member Benefits and Membership Extras such as discounts on shopping and dining and exclusive Member events.

    My wife and I joined Disney Vacation Club 12 years ago with a purchase at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, followed by a purchase at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Our reason for joining Disney Vacation Club is simple: we vacation with Disney. For 25 years we've chosen to spend our vacation time and dollars on cherished Disney moments. The "Disney Difference," as I call it, extends beyond the theme parks to every aspect of Disney spaces and places.

    You can start by enjoying a free DVD or video. When you visit Walt Disney World, take an In-Person Tour at the Preview Center.
