The afternoon we arrive, I would like to bring my family on the Monorail to ride around Epcot before dinner. We would be coming from the Contemporary Resort. About how long would the whole trip take?

    Hello Elizabeth!
Riding the Monorail is one of my most favorite things to do when I am on vacation in Walt Disney World! You have a wonderful idea for you and your family for your arrival day! Typically this Monorail journey from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Epcot will take 30 to 40 minutes one way based on my experience (so you will have to double this time estimation if you want to get back to the Disney's Contemporary Resort). You will board the Resort Monorail at Disney's Contemporary Resort and then get off at the Ticket and Transportation Center (the TTC) which is the next stop. At the Ticket and Transportation Center you will have to transfer to a Monorail that is heading to Epcot (this is very easy--just follow the signs that direct Guests to the Epcot Monorail). The Monorail that is heading to Epcot will go around the loop inside Future World before pulling in to the Epcot Monorail Station so you will get a great view of the front of Epcot. You can stay on the Monorail at the Epcot Monorail Station to head back to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then get on the Resort Monorail (the Contemporary Resort will be your 4th stop). I hope that your upcoming family Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
