Hey Howdy Hey Jean and welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like the planning for your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is heating up! Thank you for stopping by with your questions about the water parks and amenities at your resort. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into your options. Let's dive in!
Usually, in the colder winter months, Disney takes this opportunity for refurbishments of the water parks. Typically you will find one is closed for refurbishments and the other remains open, which seems to be the current situation.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon has recently undergone extensive refurbishments and upgrades to the park and has remained open over the cooler winter months to this point. The status of
Disney's Blizzard Beach is a little more uncertain as it has been closed for a while and no formal word from Disney on when it will be back open. We may see both of them open around the warmer spring months however it just is too hard to tell without a formal announcement from Disney. We currently have the
park hours available until mid-February but will most likely see an update soon as well as more information if Blizzard Beach will be reopening. I would make sure to keep an eye on them to find out which one will be available for your visit in early March, but you should have access to at least one during your stay.
Jean, you have excellent taste in resorts as at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort you will be treated to a rockin' good time! There are so many great amenities available during your stay at this resort and
Bell Servies is one of them. If you do have something that needs to be refrigerated and you do not have access to your room, Bell Services would be happy to temporarily hold your items until you can keep them in your room. Most rooms should have access to an
in-room refrigerator to keep things cool while you are away.
One tip that I have for you as you are planning your upcoming trip, is a stopover at EPCOT. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to visit the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. This is a celebration of warmer weather and a new growing season you won't want to miss! You will find amazing flower arrangements throughout the park as well as some very recognizable topiaries! There will be so many unique food booths you can partake in, for an extra cost, that have flavors to celebrate the season with food and drink options. This celebration is one of my favorites and there are so many ways to enjoy!
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Magical vacation just a few weeks away. If you have any further questions, please feel free to stop back and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Happy planning,
Nick
