When is the most affordable and slowest time to go to Walt Disney World in either January or Februrary?

Hi there, Jennifer. Welcome to planDisney!

I love your question! The only thing I enjoy more than a Disney vacation is saving money on one, and you've come to the right place for some money-saving advice. You know who else loves finding great deals? Mrs. Potts! She's always singing about saving, "just a little change, small to say the least." So, as sure as the sun rises in the east, let's work together to find your best deals!

Looking at theme park tickets for the dates you asked about, it looks like January 4-6, January 11-14, and the first week of February are the most cost-friendly dates. A few dates that may affect the crowds would be holidays like Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, and runDisney events taking place this winter, January 7-11, and February 26-March 2.

Now, Mrs. Potts and the enlightening Lumière would tell you to try the "grey stuff" (it's delicious), but I hope you'll try some of these budgeting tips that can also help you in saving for your upcoming trip!

When looking to save money on tickets, consider tickets that are good for one park per day instead of tickets with the Park Hopping Option. Personally, I love adding this option, but it is an add-on you can skip if you are on a budget and you still won't miss out on any of the magic!

Also, while I am a huge fan of Lightning Lanes, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel and take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, you can knock out some of your favorite rides early before official park opening instead of adding on Lightning Lanes to your ticket!

Jennifer, here is one of my very favorite tips! You can purchase your theme park tickets on the Walt Disney World website using Disney Gift Cards. And sometimes you can find these gift cards at third-party stores at a discount, saving you even more!

Also, be sure to check out the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page. This is my go-to link! Right now, you can find Resort hotel deals and even a free dining offer for kids!

Jennifer, I hope this helps you decide when to visit and how to save on your vacation. Please don't hesitate to reach back out to us anytime as you plan your vacation. We'll be here with our experience, which we use on our own family vacations, or we can visit Belle's library and research the answer you need!

Have the most wonderful vacation that is as enchanting as a magical rose!
