Welcome to planDisney!
Whenever I visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, I always find myself wishing upon a star to stay at one of the monorail resorts—there’s just something special about being so close to
Magic Kingdom Park!
The three resorts on the monorail loop are
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Each has its own unique charm, adding an extra sprinkle of pixie dust to any Disney adventure.
If you're looking for the most budget-friendly option among them,
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is typically the most affordable. As one of the original resorts that opened with Walt Disney World in 1971, it’s steeped in history and sits just a short walk from Magic Kingdom Park—you can't get closer than that! Plus, the monorail glides right through the hotel, a detail that still amazes me every time I see it.
And let’s talk about dining—this resort is a foodie’s dream! Start your morning with Mickey and friends at
Chef Mickey’s, enjoy a nostalgic meal at the beloved
Steakhouse 71, or take in breathtaking views of Seven Seas Lagoon while watching Happily Ever After from
California Grill—which happens to be my absolute favorite restaurant on property.
No matter which monorail resort you choose, you're in for a truly magical stay. Let me know if you'd like any more tips—I’d love to help make your trip unforgettable.
