Hi, Becky! Welcome to the WDW Moms Panel! I'm glad you came to us to help you as you begin planning your first Disney adventure!
I think a good place to start will be what resort to stay at. With a family of 5 with teens, I would suggest
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. Here you can stay in a Family Suite which has a living area with sofas and chairs that can be converted to beds, a separate bedroom with a queen bed, 2 tv's, 2 full bathrooms, and kitchenette with mini-frig, microwave, and coffee maker. This will give you plenty of space to spread out and a separate rooms in case your teenagers sleep in (you and your hubby can get up and have coffee while the kids sleep in!)
With 3 full days, choose your top 3 parks, or add on the park hopper option to see all 4 theme parks. Some top attractions for your kids: At Magic Kingdom - Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain. Epcot - Soarin', Test Track, and Spaceship Earth. Hollywood Studios - Toy Story Mania, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, and Tower of Terror. Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, and Dinosaur.
