Any advise/fun must do’s for someone that is attending Disney World for the first time ever and attending solo?!

    Welcome to planDisney, Misty!

I love flying solo to The Most Magical Place on Earth! You’re going to love traveling at your own pace in the pixie-dusted atmosphere of Walt Disney World Resort! I’m glad you’re already thinking about your trip! In these upcoming months, I’d highly recommend you follow us (planDisney) on Instagram, keep tabs on the Disney Parks Blog, and find some accounts on other social media platforms to follow to get your bearings and start dreaming about your practically perfect vacation!

My first tip is to take your time! You’re in no rush! I’d recommend at least one day for each of the theme parks!

Take a stroll on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park! Explore all of the adorable shops, and listen to the hustle and bustle of activity on your way to Cinderella Castle! If you’re looking for a meal, consider a reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant, where you’ll dine in Beast’s Castle! (You may spot a familiar face or two!) You also won’t want to miss indulging in a classic DOLE Whip® before you enjoy Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room!

Follow the call of the beating heart of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park while you explore the magic of nature! You’ll want to wander into Pandora - The World of Avatar to take to the skies on Avatar Flight of Passage (one of my favorite rides)! And, when you’re ready for a meal, a reservation at Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant is always a crowd-favorite, or you can walk up to Satu’li Canteen for some traditional Na’vi cuisine! Three little-known adventures you’ll want to enjoy at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park are the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, the Maharajah Jungle Trek, and the Affection Section! (The Affection Section is my FAVORITE experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park! You’ll take the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch and then revel in this magical petting zoo!)

Let your adventure begin at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! If you’re a Jedi, like me, you’ll want to spend plenty of time in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! (Be sure to join the Virtual Queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance on the morning that you’ll be visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios!) My favorite stop for lunch is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant! You’d love a reservation here, as this is one of the best stops for solo-travelers! You’ll love the atmosphere, food, and entertainment!

While you’re busy traveling around the world, under the sea, and into outer space at EPCOT, you may be visiting during one of the best celebrations of the year — EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! You’ll want to watch the Disney Parks Blog for updates as you near your trip! And take a ride on Soarin’ Around the World for me, Misty!

You’ll also want to spend an evening shopping, snacking, and savoring Disney Springs! The best shops and snacks all live here! (Don’t miss the sweet treats at Amorette’s Patisserie or the shopping at World of Disney®!)

Feel free to visit me, or any one of my planDisney pals, again! We can’t wait to share more tips with you!
