What is advised for New Year's Eve? Our boys are 13 and 10. We haven't seen the Star Wars theme night production at Hollywood yet, would that be something to consider or is there a specfic NYE show we shouldn't miss.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amy!

Is there a more magical place to ring in the New Year than Walt Disney World Resort? I don’t think so! As of now, there are no official times for New Year’s Eve activities and fireworks, including Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. However, in years past, there have been dazzling New Year’s Eve firework displays at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot as well as Disney Springs- so you can’t go wrong! Please keep in mind that Disney Theme Parks tend to fill-up on New Year’s Eve, so it is best to arrive earlier in the day to avoid disappointment. If you prefer to take in fireworks from Disney Springs, I can tell you that last year there was a number of outdoor entertainment options throughout the day and the evening!

If a special New Year’s Eve dinner is calling your family’s name, a number of special dining options are available at the following Disney restaurants:

    -California Grill
    -Chef Mickey's
    -Garden Grove
    -II Mulino
    -Monsieur Paul
    -Shula's Steak House
    -Todd English's bluezoo Lounge
    -Victoria & Albert's
    -Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table

In order to secure your Advanced Dining Reservation, I suggest contacting Disney Dining up to 180 days in advance as availability is limited.

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the official Walt Disney World Website for upcoming information regarding New Year’s Eve events!
