Hello, Izzy!
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney, and congratulations on your engagement! Celebrating your
Happily Ever After at Walt Disney World Resort sounds like a perfect plan. If you have not stayed at
Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside before, you are in for a treat! I love exploring the beautiful grounds, and my kids went down the sawmill-themed water slide at least 30 times during our last visit.
We also hopped in a complimentary water taxi to grab Mickey-shaped Beignets at
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe in Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. They also had delicious Allergy-Friendly Beignets for my family members with food allergies. We notified the Cast Member of our allergies and asked to see the ingredients of the Allergy-Friendly Beignets before placing our order. When dealing with food allergies, I always recommend letting the Cast Member know about your food restrictions before you order and ask to see ingredient lists when possible. Most Cast Members at dining and snack locations are well-versed in special dietary needs in my experience, and they do their best to accommodate your requests.
My family's favorite treat during the warmer months is a Pineapple DOLE Whip Cup at
Aloha Isle and
Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom Park. It is a plant-based snack that usually contains coconut, and it is absolutely delightful! You may also enjoy Blue Milk and Green Milk at the
Milk Stand in Disney's Hollywood Studios if you can drink coconut and rice milk. My family often likes to taste-test the different milks to see which one we like best. Blue Milk is my favorite, although one of my kids prefers Green Milk.
Over in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, we recently came across the Night Blossom at
Pongu Pongu. This tasty beverage is made with apple and desert pear limeade topped with boba balls, and when we went, it was allergy-friendly for the Top 9 allergens! My kids asked for a Night Blossom multiple times during our trip!
Frozen Minute Maid Lemonade and Frozen Raspberry Lemonade are also perfect snacks when it is hot outside! In the past, I have found them in all Walt Disney World theme parks at select quick-service restaurants and food carts. You can find the lemonades by using the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the My Disney Experience app homepage to search for specific locations. Popcorn, cotton candy, Partake cookies, and Surf Sweets candy are other preferred snacks for my family members with food allergies.
Many quick service restaurants also list peanut and tree nut allergy-friendly items on their menus in the My Disney Experience app. If you have additional questions about special dietary requests, I suggest contacting the
Special Diets team between 10-14 days before your arrival date. They may have additional insight to share with you. Menu items and ingredient lists often change, which is why we always notify the dining Cast Members about food allergies and ask to review ingredients before purchasing food.
Izzy, I hope you enjoy many snacks at Walt Disney World Resort! Do not forget to ask the Cast Members at your hotel if they have an "I'm Celebrating" button to honor your special engagement!
You are the magic!
Jen
