Many advise avoiding EMH for theme parks because of crowds. Same suggestion hold for waterparks? Going to waterparks for first time in June, Blizzard Beach has EMH (am) on June 12th. But the time didn't show up on the general WDW calendar? TL instead?

Hello Laura!  Welcome back to the Moms Panel.  I will admit to being one of those who avoids the parks that have Extra Magic Hours.  Maybe I'm getting old, but I'd rather have slightly lesser crowds and not have to get up so early, so it works for me to stay away!  I'm not sure how much difference it will really make at the water parks though.  Blizzard Beach does have Extra Magic Hours from 8a.m.-9a.m. on June 12th, while Typhoon Lagoon doesn't open until 9a.m.  I think with the warmer temps in June that both water parks will be busy, and I'm not sure there would be much of a difference in crowd levels once 10 a.m. hits.  My family's personal preference between the two water parks is Typhoon Lagoon, mainly because we love the more tropical feel and the wave pool is just so much fun.  Really, If you are only going to be visiting only one water park during your vacation, take a look at the maps and attractions for both and base your decision on the one that holds the most appeal for your family.
