What advice/pointers can you give a fellow Canadian first timer on getting the most value while on a budget and only visiting for 1-2 days with a 3 year old who absolutely adores Ariel. Also this is a birthday present 2 months after (end of March)

    Hi Jennifer...my fellow Canadian!

    Thank you for the question.

You will be able to see Ariel in the parade at the Magic Kingdom which is held most afternoons.

Another must see would be The Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is an incredible show that is great for all ages!

If you are only able to do one day, I would spend it at the Magic Kingdom.  There are so many rides that you both will love along character meet and greets.

    A few tips:
-check the long range weather before you leave so you know what to pack for clothes
-make sure you bring your camera/ video camera - you want to catch every magical moment!
-I am a big fan of the autograph books - you can pick one up at the Magic Kingdom once you get there.  My kids always love getting autographs.

I hope this helps.  Have a fantastic time--enjoy every minute!!
