Greetings, Emily, it's great to see you back at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, with this excellent question about Walt Disney World Resort's
special events and tours! I'm super excited to hEAR that you're contemplating these two fantastic special tours, Emily, and having participated in both, I can only say that I'm going to sign up for both...again! Seriously, they are amazing and offer unique perspectives and best of all these tours offer the mystery of the Utilidors tunnels at Magic Kingdom Park, an absolute highlight in my opinion.
Disney's
Keys to the Kingdom Tour offers a detailed look at Walt Disney's innovative vision at creating Magic Kingdom Park. The tour remains in the Theme Park, offers a delightful lunch at Columbia Harbour House (subject to change) followed by a unique keepsake. I particularly enjoyed all the Disney trivia and facts along the way, as well as the description of the windows on Main Street, U.S.A. It was interesting learning about overlooked Walt Disney Imagineering details and finding hidden Mickeys in remote places.
Disney's
Backstage Magic not only takes Guests through the history, Walt Disney Imagineering details, construction and innovative process of Magic Kingdom Park, but Guests then traverse to Epcot to explore audio animatronics, costuming, the artistry, technology, and mechanics that are involved with all the backstage logistics that afford all Guests their enjoyable experiences. To top off this tour, you'll be taken over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort to enjoy a delicious barbecue-style lunch over at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Truly a one-of-a-kind VIP experience!
Best Disney Wishes and Adventures, Emily!
