Advice on taking a 3 1/2 year old to Disney in February? Will it be worth it or should we wait until she is older? We have a group of 9 & would need 3 bedrooms. Are their any resorts that offer a suite with 3 or 4 bedrooms or would we all need our own

    Hi Michele,

I can emphatically tell you that it is absolutely worth it to go now with your three year old! In fact, we just returned from a vacation to WDW with our now-11 year old. While we had an amazing time, we discussed numerous times between ourselves as well as with our son's grandmother how fortunate we are to have taken our son to WDW when he was younger.

Now he races to Space Mountain instead of Dumbo. He poses with characters but not with the same wide-eyed amazement. He'd rather ride Expedition Everest six times in a row rather than take a ride on Triceratop Spin or a train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch. At Hollywood Studios, he rode Star Tours so many times that we lost count and we missed the days that he couldn't wait to play at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Adventure. At Epcot, he wanted to do Test Track repeatedly rather than see Turtle Talk with Crush.

We had an amazing vacation but each trip to Disney World is absolutely different as our son grows older and more mature. There's absolutely memorable magic when visiting with a small child. Go now!

It will be less expensive to book separate rooms. Suites are extremely expensive. First decide on the resorts that best fit your price range and then select the resort that meets your other criteria such as location, theme, room type, view, etc.

Happy planning! Oh, and our son's trip at age 3 was ideal! At age 2, it was a lot of work but still magical.
