any advice/ special tips for traveling with an 8 month old baby to wdw? I am nervous about it!

No worries Jennifer! Walt Disney World is one of the easiest places on the planet to bring an eight month old.

With entertaining attractions to ride, parades and fireworks to see, and characters to meet your little one will be easy to keep entertained in the parks. Babies love sitting on your lap while riding "it's a small world", The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, Jungle Cruise, and just about any ride that does not have a height requirement. I've even held happy babies while on board a doom buggy in the Haunted Mansion. Too young to understand spookiness, my little ones loved the movement of the dancing ghosts.

Take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located in each park. These quiet, cool places are a great spot to nurse, change a diaper, and rest for a minute. I have also used dark, not very crowded shows like the Hall of Presidents and The American Adventure for a chance to sit down and feed a baby.

Do take a break in the afternoon. Though my kids have outgrown their strollers, we still follow a schedule of arriving at the parks early to catch the shortest lines and then take a break to rest or swim back at the hotel in the afternoon when the parks tend to be the most crowded.

If you are flying, consider purchasing diapers and baby food at WDW, having necessities delivered to your room from Garden Grocer, or sending a package of  baby supplies to yourself at your resort ahead of time. Use a stroller that is easy to fold up when you board a bus.

Snap tons of pictures of your little ones first trip to see Mickey. You will want these to look at once your baby goes to college!
