Do you have any advice in picking a Disney Wedding officiant? I would like mine to be like a fairy godmother and hoping for Katherine Imundi !

Hey Howdy Hey Julie! Welcome back to planDisney!

How awesome that you'll be saying "I Do" at the Most Magical Place On Earth! My husband and I had a fabulous Disney Fairy Tale Wedding in 2021 that our guests still talk about! I also inquired if Disney would provide an officiant for us. Although Disney offers services for just about every aspect of your wedding, there are still a few you’ll have to plan on your own. This includes finding someone to officiate your ceremony.

During my research I found that according to Florida state law, any “regularly ordained minister of the gospel or elders in communion with some church, or other ordained clergy” may perform the ceremony along with all Florida judicial officers, including retired judicial officers, clerks of the circuit courts, and notaries public.  Anyone who qualifies under these guidelines may perform the ceremony without filling out any special paperwork, except to sign the marriage license at the ceremony.

At one point we considered my sister officiating the wedding. If you would like to be married by a friend or a family member, he or she will need to be ordained as a clergy member through an organization. There are a few churches that offer free ordination online within a few days.

Now let's talk about the amazing Katherine Imundi who officiated my wedding! She was everything I could have hoped for in a wedding officiant. From our first call she felt like family. She took the time to get to know my husband and I and made our ceremony very magical. A true fairy godmother. Though Katherine is guaranteed to make your day extra magical as well, she is not affiliated with Disney, rather she is an independent contractor. You can book her services right from her website. She has instructions on how to book on her social media accounts.

Julie, I hope you find this information helpful. Please visit us again at planDisney. I would be thrilled to give wedding planning tips and help with any research! Be sure to keep an eye on the Ever After Blog for the latest Disney Wedding updates.

Wishing you and your fiancé lots of love, to infinity and beyond.
