    Advice on meal plans, please. Four adults, two kids 8&11. Can I get a meal plan with just a room reservation? We are overseas military and plan on using the military tickets. Already have room res, and would like to add the plans, if needed. Thnks

    Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel.

    Unfortunately, in order to add a dining plan to a Disney World vacation, you must not only stay at a Disney resort but also purchase at least a two-day theme park ticket for everyone on your reservation. So, if you're planning on using Disney's Military Salute ticket, you won't be eligible to purchase the dining plan.

    The good news, though, is that most of the time if you partner Disney's room discount for military seen here  with the discount tickets, you save much more than if you purchased the dining plan.
