What are the advantages of staying in Congress park Over The Springs at Saratoga Springs?

    Welcome Home Valerie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’re going to love your stay at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa!

You are sure to love the Victorian style elegance based off of Saratoga Springs, New York which is famous for its horse racing and spas. You’ve made the right choice by booking a preferred room. Whenever we stay at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, we always book a preferred room. Congress Park and The Springs both have their advantages, and I think it depends on what is most important to you for your stay.

If I had a trip coming up soon I would request Congress Park. All of the rooms at the resort will be going through a refurbishment. The refurbishment is already in full swing and they started with Congress Park. If you request Congress Park you have a really good chance of getting a refurbished room which is why I would want to stay there now. Everything in the room will be brand new from the floors to the kitchen cabinets to the light fixtures. I have seen pictures and video walkthroughs and the new rooms look amazing. They are even installing the new Murphy beds that pull down like at Disney's Riviera Resort and getting rid of the pull out couches. Even in a deluxe studio, you will now have two real beds. Congress Park also seems to be a quieter area of the resort and it boasts views of Disney Springs. The pool area is also quieter since it is not a feature pool. It’s the perfect spot to relax at since a lot of people staying in Congress park will walk over to the feature pool. If you like Disney Springs like we do, then being in Congress park will give you walking access to get there.

A refurbished room may not be important to you and if it's not then our favorite location at the resort is The Springs area. You may want to be in the heart of the resort and in the middle of all the action. In this case The Springs is the area for you! You’ll be close to one of the feature pools with a Donald Duck kids splash area with bubbling geysers and a small water slide. The pool will have cascading waterfalls, a much bigger water slide built into the rocks, and a zero-depth entry point. There’s also a bar and refillable mug station in the pool area.  I will say it's a pretty cool pool. When staying at The Springs you’ll be close to the lobby, dining and shopping options as well. Like I said, you’ll be right in the middle of all the action.

Well Valerie, whether you’re looking for a quiet area with easy access to Disney Springs or want to be in the middle of all the action with an awesome pool, your stay at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is sure to be amazing!
