Hi, I want to take advantage of the ship & the port activities (Nassau & KW). Is it better to stay on board the whole morning & take a port adventure in the afternoon or the other way around? Because of less crowds on board the ship, how can

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Juan!

Your magical cruise is coming up and I'm sure your whole household is buzzing with excitement. Captain Mickey and his crew can't wait for you to enjoy the loads of fun and excitement onboard the Disney Cruise Line! You'll want to make the most out of each day of your voyage, but at the same time allow for some down time to enjoy the wonders of being onboard your Disney ship.

My family and I have done short port adventures and I actually prefer doing this first. This way, your kids can get ready and they'll have the mindset that they'll be doing an adventure first thing in the morning. Your family can explore the port city first, and once you are done, you can make your way back to the ship to relax. Generally, a good amount of guests will be off the ship when at port. So, you will notice that there are less people at the pool area or the spa. If you stay onboard in the morning, I have a feeling that it might be difficult to get your kids to go off the ship with you in the afternoon. They'll likely be so engaged with the youth club activities, or they'll be having way too much fun at the pool to leave :-).

Have fun no matter what you choose to do first. There's just so much to do on board, that you'll always feel like you need more time on the ship. That's why a lot of guests are repeat cruisers with Disney - it just never gets old!

Enjoy every minute of your magical voyage, Juan! Take lots of pictures and share it with your friends, family and #DCLPhotos on Twitter. We love seeing families enjoying their Disney Cruise vacations and sharing the magic.

    Happy planning,
    ~ Dolly
