Is the advantage of Free Disney Dining plans ever available at preferred dates?

    Hi Deborah,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My friend, I would really need a crystal ball to answer that question!

Based on my experience, free dining has never been offered on my family's preferred dates. Last year, there was a free dining plan offer for most nights August 23rd - December 21st. Remember though that, if you take advantage of free dining, your room and theme park tickets are not discounted. When I have compared the free dining plan to other specials in the past, our vacation package price was not always more affordable with the free dining. So, if you have not done so already, price your vacation now with an existing Special Offer, then compare that price with the free dining if an offer is available.

As always, I suggest that you make Dining Reservations 180 days in advance. Restaurants fill quickly, especially for character meals. Also, be sure to take a look at the restaurants in Disney Springs. There are a variety of delicious options!

    Happy Planning!
